Basic premise
Regular human who did a Supernatural Crime (will be more specific when I have more brain juice) and was sentenced to do community service in a library for supernatural beings because she had no ill intent she just committed an act of giant dumbassery because she did not know that supernatural things actually existed. She works in the more mundane part, aka the books are regular books but they are written by and for supernatural beings.
Behind a magical door there is a much more dangerous department, your standard spooky library full of mystical dangers and books full of forbidden knowledge and such. She is not allowed in there, and if she tried to sneak in she would probably die shortly after.
Penelope is 27 years old, you can call her Pen, Penny, Lop or anything else you feel like. She loves words and wants to be a poet though at the moment she would turn into a full tomato if you so much as glanced at one of her attempts. She also has ADHD.
Since she doesn't have a job that actually pays at the moment, she's moved back in with her (thankfully) very loving and supportive parents.
Where she lives is flexible but she is Scottish and hails from Edinburgh.

- Doesn't know how to swim.
- Gets attached quickly and intensely to people she gets along with
- Loves vintage style
- Attempted an English degree but ended up bailing out
- Pansexual
- Loves doing crossword puzzles
